Generations of Valor

Please click on the picture, as this small version, is not as powerful as the full size.We truly take a lot for granted. Forget the football 'heroes' and movie 'stars'. Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ, and the American Soldier. One died for your soul; the other for your freedom.

A picture is worth a thousand words. With so much attention given these last few weeks over the string of celebrity deaths.... somehow we fail to keep things in perspective. Nobody can cheat death, regardless fame or fortune. Is that where the fascination comes from, because we perhaps had started to believe their larger than life image?

Our time and attention seemingly diverted from the true heros, to those that look good in a bikini, or can do the moonwalk.

I'm a fan of Michael Jackson, grew up with his music, and still listen today. I believe he is an amazingly talented person. But while our troops, average American Joe's, are putting their lives on the line, and losing them, it suddenly brings the disparity in to view.

Here's to our troops, our veterans, and their families for the sacrifice they have made and continue to make to keep us safe and preserve our freedom.

I feel so privileged to live in this country. Thank you.

A great quote from Winston Churchill, "An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile, hoping it will eat him last."
