I decided back in January that I wanted to run a 5k this year.
Never really running before, except maybe to get out of the rain, a mile seemed like an awfully long way - three seemed impossible.
But here goes - I just registered for my first race! For me, it's really not a race at all - as that implies that I am trying to finish before others do.... my sights are set shorter than that... I'm just shooting for the finish line!
It's funny because somewhere along the way - the process of running any type of distance had as much to with training my brain, as it did with training my body.
