Indiana Unclaimed Property / Assets

Every year in Indiana, and I supposed in every other state, people die leaving no instructions on how their various assets should be handled.

From left over checking accounts, safety deposit boxes, saving accounts, stock dividends, to insurance proceeds, these assets are transferred to the state, and the Attorney General is responsible to passing these assets on to the next of kin. The Department of Unclaimed Property does a nice job of helping people search the records to indentity if there is any property that is rightly theirs.

Additionally, you can check out Unclaimed Auctions, which I think could be kinda of fun!
